Shredder's Story

I got Shredder from a friend of mine, who had a feral cat give birth under his deck. I got him on the July 4th weekend. From the first, he shook a lot and fell over fairly often, but he still seemed able to get around. He had a LOT of energy and loved to grab things (and people). When I took him in for his shots, the vet suspected CH but thought it also might be a back problem. I took him in a month later to be neutered, and since he still had the same symptoms, the vet took an xray which ruled out spinal damage. We never actually confirmed it, but the symptoms fit. Shredder also had a brother who went to someone else; apparently his brother has shown some of the same symptoms. Since then, I've been trying to rearrange my bedroom to help him get around better; I'm also getting a flat pan so he doesn't have to climb into a litter box.
