Guestbook Zeke's StoryMy second cerebellar kitten was also born feral. Zeke was born on route 1 behind a popular restaurant. For two years I had heard about all the cats behind this place. No one was going to do anything about the ballooning population of cats there, so I made it my "pet project". For over a year I made the half hour drive and spent countless hours trapping the countless cats & kittens there. I socialized most of the kittens, spayed and released most of the adults, and adopted out many of them. Baby Zeke was born in a shelter set up for the cats to sleep in. It was obvious he had problems the first time I spotted him. He tried to run, but stumbled and fell as my butterfly net went over him. I managed to get the whole litter and adopted them out, but Zeke was not adoptable. His littermates were quick to trust me, but Zeke resisted my efforts to befriend him. Everything I seemed to do would send him into a panic attack, and he'd crash into a wall trying to run away. And of course he'd hate me for it, thinking I made him crash into these things! At mealtimes Zeke allows himself to be held and patted, so we make his meals last.
