July 4, 2022Our Weeble Wobble, a 9-year-old male tuxedo was diagnosed about a year ago with IBD. We weren't sure if he was going to make it as they did not know why he was so sick all of the sudden so they had to do biopsies and found out that he had IBD and Extremely low muscle mass in his hind legs. Since then we have it under control and he is thriving. We are always thinking and researching new ways to help increase his hind leg muscles so that he can get along better and we have discovered that Methylcarbalomin injections seem to be working well. Before he could only take a few steps before sitting down and we noticed that sometimes he would even walk on his hocks. Since we have been giving him the injections it seems to help a lot and he moves much easier and is all over the house and patio. We also give him L-carnitine and coQ 10 which helps his metabolism as well as his muscle mass. If anyone has a kitty with diabetes the Methylcarbolamin works miracles for them too. So as of now to help his hind leg muscles & his IBD, we feed him ZD Hills prescription Science Diet for his IBD diet, a little pumpkin with his meds of lactulose to help him poo regular, L-Carnitine, co-Q10, Vitamine E, Methylcarbolamin to help his weak hind legs and he seems to be doing very well. If anyone has any useful info on IBD/CH kitties or weak hind legs please post advice. We will do anything to help our Weeble Wobble. I hope this might help someone else with their kitty if needed. Thanks to all for sharing your wealth of knowledge.
Thanks from Weeble Wobble.
