Cornell University has the top veterinary college in the United States. They offer a variety of clinical services as well, including a phone consultation for a fee ($55). I would assemble my notes so that you're clear about what you're asking and then pay the fee and seek their input. They can fax information to your regular vet (they would be considered a consulting vet, where your regular vet is the attending vet) and you can get their take on spaying and neutering kitties with CH as well as any specific guidance they have for you.
